Speech Pathology | Dearborn, Michigan

This contract opportunity involves a 13-week assignment, with the potential for extension or conversion. You'll contribute to patient care on a dedicated team and focus on adult inpatient rehab and acute care.
Schedule:
- Wednesday through Saturday
- 10-hour shifts, 7:45 am – 6:15 pm (negotiable start time)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required; master’s degree highly preferred
- Active BLS certification
- Demonstrated experience in inpatient rehabilitation, adult acute care, and adult patient assessments, including bedside swallow or BIM assessments
- Proficient in thorough clinical documentation
- Independent, motivated, and adept communicator
- Prior familiarity with Cerner and Epic electronic medical records systems is a plus
Essential Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech-language pathology therapy for adults, addressing communication and swallowing disorders
- Conduct functional, bedside, and specialized assessments to inform treatment planning
- Design and implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions
- Collaborate closely with the therapy manager and interdisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation for all therapeutic sessions in accordance with facility standards
- Educate patients and families on communication strategies, care plans, and progress
