Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current state SLP license or eligibility to obtain prior to start.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP), or Clinical Fellow (CF) status.
- Recent experience in a hospital or acute care environment strongly preferred.
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and patient communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders for hospitalized patients.
- Create and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Engage with multidisciplinary care teams—including physicians, nurses, and occupational/physical therapists—to deliver patient-centered care.
- Document patient progress, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
- Educate patients, caregivers, and staff on therapy interventions and progress.
