Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an ASHA-accredited program
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (ASHA)
- Current, unrestricted Speech-Language Pathology license (AZ or other US jurisdiction)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- 2 years’ experience as a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Eligibility for hospital medical staff credentialing
- Not accepting SLPAs for this position
Schedule/Hours:
- Regular weekday schedule (no weekend services at this time)
- Orientation every two weeks
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on patient needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Document treatment, progress, and outcomes using electronic health records
- Educate patients, families, and staff on therapeutic processes and home programs
- Participate in specialty clinics such as pediatric feeding and geriatric care
- Provide ongoing quality improvement, staff education, and safety management
