Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current CCC certification required
- Proven inpatient speech-language pathology experience
- Skilled in performing video swallow evaluations
- Comfortable working in hospital settings with acute care patients
- Ability to float between two hospital locations within reasonable driving distance
Location: The role is split between two hospitals: one located at BRMC - 17065 US-71, Belton, MO 64012, and the other at LSMC - 2100 SE Blue Parkway, Lee’s Summit, MO 64063. Both facilities provide inpatient care with 71 beds at BRMC and 88 beds at LSMC, offering a collaborative and technologically equipped environment to support excellent patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Provide inpatient speech therapy services including assessment, treatment, and documentation
- Perform video swallow studies to evaluate and treat dysphagia
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care
- Adhere to hospital protocols and documentation standards via Meditech system
- Maintain professional scrubs attire in compliance with hospital dress code
- Flexibility to travel between the two hospital locations on a weekday schedule, typically 8:00 am to 4:30 pm depending on caseload
