Speech Language Pathologist Opportunity Available
Blazer Jobs is actively seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist for a full-time contract position in Floresville, TX. We are conducting open interviews for this school-based role. To be considered, candidates must meet all requirements set forth by local and state regulations. Experience with special education students and families is highly preferred.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid state Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Experience working with special education students and families is highly preferred
- Ability to pass background checks and screenings required for employment in educational settings
Job Duties:
- Assess students' speech and language abilities and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide speech and language therapy services to students with various communication disorders
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to implement therapy goals and strategies into the classroom setting
- Monitor students' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions and student progress
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide input on students' goals and progress
- Provide support and education to parents and caregivers on how to facilitate speech and language development at home
- Stay current on best practices and research in the field of speech-language pathology
