Qualifications & Experience:
- Associate’s degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or related field
- Valid and current SLPA license for the state of California
- Clinical experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Organizational skills to manage multiple student caseloads and maintain accurate records
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy under supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist to students with diverse communication needs
- Support individualized education plans (IEPs) by implementing tailored interventions developed by supervising SLP
- Assist in documenting student progress, maintaining compliance with state guidelines and district protocols
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and family members to promote communication strategies in various learning environments
- Prepare materials and activities that support student goals
- Participate in meetings and ongoing professional development as required by the assignment
