Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid SLPA license or credential in the state of California
- Previous experience working in school settings preferred
- Solid understanding of child development and speech-language disorders
- Ability to follow therapy plans developed by Speech-Language Pathologists
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
- Passion for helping diverse student populations achieve their goals
Core Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of speech-language interventions tailored to student needs under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Implement individual or small group therapy sessions as outlined in students’ individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Assist in the collection and documentation of data on student progress
- Prepare and organize therapy materials and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to optimize student outcomes
- Contribute to a positive, productive school environment by maintaining professional and ethical standards
