Speech Pathology Assistant - Worcester, MA
A full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available for an Extended School Year (ESY) program at a K-12 school in Worcester, MA. This contract role runs from the last week of April through the first week of August, with working hours from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting direct treatment sessions for students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Managing a caseload of approximately 20-25 students
- Collaborating closely with both an SLP and fellow SLPA to ensure effective therapy services
- Documenting student progress and maintaining accurate records
Qualifications:
- Experience working as an SLPA, particularly in school settings
- Ability to work with a diverse student population across K-12 grade levels
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach to therapy
- Knowledge of school-based speech therapy procedures and protocols
