Pediatric School-Based Speech Therapist Assistant - Bellingham, Washington
Located in Bellingham, WA, this contract position offers an opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) passionate about making a meaningful impact in school-based therapy. Partnering with multiple school districts, the role focuses on delivering consistent, high-quality speech services that enhance student confidence, communication, and classroom success.
Responsibilities include delivering engaging, student-centered speech therapy under the guidance of a licensed SLP. You will support students with goals in articulation, expressive and receptive language, fluency, and social communication. Converting IEP goals into measurable progress, tracking session outcomes, and collaborating closely with educators, special education teams, and families are key duties to support whole-child development.
Candidates should hold or be eligible for a Washington State SLPA license, possess a degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences, and bring energy, empathy, and reliability to the school environment. While prior school or pediatric experience is beneficial, it is not required. The ideal candidate values both structure and flexibility and thrives in collaborative yet independent roles.
