Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Associate’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or equivalent program completion
- Valid SLPA license or eligibility for licensure in the state
- Experience providing therapy or support services to children or school-aged youth preferred
- Comfort collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and following treatment plans
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organization skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in delivering therapy sessions as directed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist
- Support students with a variety of speech, language, and communication needs
- Document student progress and maintain organized records in accordance with school procedures
- Help prepare materials, set up activities, and participate in team meetings as needed
- Foster a positive, encouraging, and inclusive environment for all students
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and family members regarding assigned therapy activities
