Speech Language Pathologist Assistant in Virginia Beach, VA

Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Virginia SLPA license required
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is highly valued
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Familiarity with supporting students in K-12, including adapting strategies based on developmental and educational needs
- Ability to manage time efficiently across multiple sites
- Collaborative approach to working with educators, pathologists, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services under supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Carry out individualized education plan (IEP) goals, document student progress, and contribute to IEP meetings as necessary
- Assist in preparing materials and modifying activities to meet student needs
- Work collaboratively with school staff across sites in Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Isle of Wight County, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Southampton County, and Suffolk
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with state and district policies
- Participate in professional development opportunities and ongoing training
