A Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available for a contract role in Conroe, TX, serving two elementary schools within the Houston area. This full-time opportunity involves working 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from April 10, 2026, through May 22, 2026, with the potential to add a third school assignment. This itinerant role focuses on elementary-aged students and provides valuable experience supporting communication development in a school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech therapy services under the supervision of licensed Speech-Language Pathologists
- Collaborate with educators and families to support students’ communication goals
- Manage caseload at two elementary schools, with possible assignment expansion
- Maintain accurate records and progress documentation
- Adhere to district and state policies and procedures, including TEA fingerprinting requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure as required
- ASHA Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) certification preferred
- Experience working with elementary-aged students is beneficial
- Must complete timely credentialing, including TEA fingerprinting
