Speech & Language Pathology Assistant in Converse, TX

Bring your passion and expertise as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support students’ communication growth in a dynamic school setting. This full-time contract opportunity is based on-site, working with both high school and middle school students in a vibrant community near Converse, TX. With a balanced schedule across two campuses, you’ll serve youth in grades 6-12, focusing on a manageable caseload with flexible service intervals.
You’ll join a dedicated educational team, providing essential therapy that makes a real difference. While bilingual Spanish skills are highly valued, monolingual candidates are welcome—your caseload will be tailored accordingly.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active SLPA license in Texas is required
- Previous experience in a school setting is a plus
- Strong collaborative and communication skills
- Bilingual Spanish preferred, though not required
- Comfortable working independently across multiple campuses
- Ready to complete additional district onboarding forms upon offer
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services to high school and middle school students, grades 6-12
- Collaborate closely with supervising SLPs, teachers, and school teams
- Track and report student progress, maintain accurate documentation
- Adapt sessions and materials to meet diverse needs, focusing on non-bilingual students if applicable
- Participate in school meetings as needed and adhere to district protocols
