School-Based Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Sugar Land, Texas

The role begins as soon as possible and continues through late May.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Holds valid professional state licensing as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Experience in a school setting with both elementary and secondary student populations
- Familiarity or experience with AAC devices is highly valued
- Willingness to complete state-required fingerprinting and background checks promptly
- Strong organizational skills; comfortable managing a caseload averaging around 100 students
- Exceptional teamwork and communication skills
- Previous work with the district is helpful—please share your experience when applying
- If you have ever been terminated from a school district, this will impact eligibility for hire (an affidavit must be completed)
Key Responsibilities:
- Support speech-language services in accordance with student IEPs under SLP supervision
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary school teams, teachers, and families
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to IEP meetings
- Assist students in building communication skills in both individual and group settings
- Implement AAC device protocols and support students’ device use as needed
- Flex across one or two assigned schools depending on assignments and need
