You’ll thrive in this opportunity if you bring:
- An active Texas SLPA license (must have in hand; supervision hours for obtaining licensure are not available)
- Proven experience working in a school setting as an SLPA or SLP
- Reliable personal transportation and confirmed ability to commute daily to all assigned campuses (commutes over 30 miles are not feasible due to local traffic)
- A strong record of punctuality, flexibility, and collaboration with on-site educational staff
- On-site, in-person availability for the entire duration of the assignment (remote work is not offered)
What you’ll be doing:
- Implementing treatment plans developed by supervising SLPs
- Providing direct support to students on your assigned campuses
- Documenting student progress and consulting with multidisciplinary teams
- Assisting with screenings and administrative tasks as needed
- Maintaining open communication with teachers, parents, and supervisors
Assignment start dates vary by campus: January 4th, January 18th, February 1st, and March 15th, 2027, with assignments extending through the end of the year. You’ll gain diverse experience across some of Houston’s largest educational settings, growing your professional skills with each placement.
