Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in Stafford, VA

Essential Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree from an accredited SLPA program or equivalent coursework
- Active SLPA licensure or eligibility in Virginia
- Previous experience in a school-based setting or working with children is strongly preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with students and staff
- Ability to follow protocols and treatment plans designed by supervising Speech-Language Pathologists
- Organization, problem-solving, and documentation skills necessary for an educational environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement speech and language therapy activities developed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist
- Collect data on student performance, monitor progress, and report findings to the supervising clinician
- Adapt therapy materials to meet student needs and foster engagement
- Support students individually and in small groups to develop expressive and receptive language, social skills, articulation, and more
- Maintain accurate records of sessions, attendance, and progress per school and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to integrate speech and language strategies into classroom routines
- Participate in professional development and team meetings as needed
