School-Based Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Springfield, MA

Assignment Details:
- Academic year appointment: Late August 2026 through late June 2027 (exact 26/27 SY calendar dates to be confirmed)
- 32.5 hours per week
- Primary assignment at a high school in Ludlow within a dedicated program that emphasizes applied skills, communication, and social-emotional development
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid state licensure and all required credentials for practice
- Proven background working in school-based settings as SLPA or SLP-CF
- Strong familiarity and hands-on experience with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices—crucial for student support in this setting
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams, educators, and families in a dynamic environment
- Comfort adapting communication and therapy techniques to individual learners' needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language services as part of a comprehensive educational plan
- Support individualized learning and skill-building for high-school-aged students in a specialized classroom environment
- Incorporate evidence-based interventions and AAC technology into daily programming
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress monitoring
