Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or related field required
- California SLPA license in good standing
- Prior school-based experience preferred, especially working with K-12 students
- Solid understanding of speech and language development in school-aged children
- Capable of collaborating effectively with supervising SLPs, teachers, and families
- Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy services to students under supervision of a licensed SLP
- Implement individualized treatment plans and support academic communication goals
- Document student progress, maintain records, and participate in IEP meetings as required
- Adapt strategies for varied grade levels, addressing needs from kindergarteners to high school seniors
- Communicate regularly with supervising clinicians and educational teams for coordinated support
- Contribute to an inclusive, encouraging atmosphere that empowers all students
