School Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) | Long Beach, California

As an SLPA, you'll play a vital role in developing communication skills among K-12 students. You’ll collaborate with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists and educators to provide therapeutic support, track student progress, and help students achieve their communication goals across a variety of age groups and learning needs. This position is set to run through December 31, 2026, with the potential for extension.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Valid and current SLPA license in California.
- Experience working with children or adolescents in a school setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students across a range of ages and abilities (K-12th grade).
- Organized, reliable, and flexible to adapt to varied caseload needs.
- Passionate about helping students reach their fullest potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) under supervision.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, individually or in small groups.
- Collect data and maintain accurate records of student progress.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams (teachers, SLPs, administrators).
- Participate in team meetings and professional development as required.
