Position Overview:
ProCare Therapy is seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join a supportive school team for the 2026–2027 school year. This full-time, onsite position offers an excellent opportunity to work with students requiring a range of communication supports while collaborating closely with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists and educational staff.
This is an ideal opportunity for experienced SLPAs who are passionate about helping students with extensive support needs develop functional communication skills and achieve success in the educational setting.
Responsibilities:
Provide speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
Implement treatment plans and interventions designed by the supervising SLP
Support students with extensive support needs, including the use of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices
Collect therapy data and monitor student progress toward IEP goals
Maintain accurate therapy notes and documentation
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student success
Prepare therapy materials and assist with classroom-based interventions
Communicate student progress and treatment updates to the supervising SLP
Qualifications:
Active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license required
Minimum of one year of experience as a licensed SLPA
Previous experience working in a school setting required
Experience working with students with extensive support needs required
Experience using AAC devices required
Experience with data collection and progress monitoring required
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
