About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to support students across K–12 school settings in the San Francisco Bay Area. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to help students improve communication, language, and social skills, enabling them to succeed academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement speech and language therapy plans developed by a supervising SLP
- Provide individual and small-group therapy sessions to students (K–12)
- Assist in addressing speech, articulation, language, fluency, and social communication needs
- Prepare and organize therapy materials and activities
- Track student performance and maintain accurate documentation
- Support the SLP with assessments and data collection
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other school personnel
- Help create a positive, supportive, and engaging learning environment
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or related field
- Active California SLPA license required
- Experience working with school-aged children (preferred)
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with IEPs and school-based therapy services is a plus
