Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Experience or strong interest in working with elementary-aged children
- Knowledge of speech, language, and communication disorders in school settings
- Ability to follow therapy plans and provide interventions under SLP supervision
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Compassion, patience, and adaptability while working with diverse student needs
- Must be available for onsite work throughout the entirety of the school year
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language services through individual and group sessions as outlined by the supervising SLP
- Support development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintain detailed records of student progress and session outcomes
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
- Attend team meetings and communicate progress effectively to educators and caregivers
- Adapt activities and materials for students at various ability levels
