Exciting opportunities await Speech-Language Pathology Assistants seeking contract placements for the 2026–2027 school year in the Jacksonville area. This position invites skilled SLPAs to provide direct speech services to students at one assigned campus, supporting traditional caseloads within elementary and specialized (severe population) school settings. The assignment spans from as soon as possible through May 28, 2027, offering full-time hours (35 per week, 7 per day).
Successful candidates will support communication and language growth for diverse student populations, collaborating closely with lead Speech-Language Pathologists and contributing to individualized education plans.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active and valid Florida Department of Health SLPA licensure
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, including at least 6 months in a school environment
- Proficiency delivering direct services and contributing to a school-based team
- Experience working with elementary and/or complex needs populations strongly preferred
- Must be willing and able to work on-site; remote (VOCO) placements are not available
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records in alignment with school and district guidelines
- Support the communication needs of students individually and in group settings
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other related service providers
- Adhere to state regulations and district policies
This role requires timely completion of credentialing, including fingerprinting (or verification/renewal if prior prints exist in the AHCA Clearinghouse) and the district’s JLA badge application.
