This full-time, contract role is dedicated to providing high-quality speech therapy services in an educational setting, with immediate openings available. You’ll become a valued resource, helping students overcome communication challenges and contributing to a positive learning environment within one of several potential school sites.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Florida DOH SLPA licensure required
- Minimum of two years’ experience as an SLPA, including at least six months in a school-based setting
- Demonstrated ability to manage a traditional caseload, delivering direct speech services to children and adolescents
- Willingness and ability to complete time-sensitive credentialing requirements, including fingerprint clearance and JLA badge application if needed
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services under supervision, adapting activities to meet individualized education plans
- Collaborate with speech-language pathologists, educators, and other special education staff to optimize student progress
- Keep accurate records of sessions, track student outcomes, and contribute to progress reporting for the IEP team
- Foster a supportive and engaging environment to encourage student participation and confidence
- Communicate with families and staff regarding student goals and achievements as appropriate
