Seeking experienced Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) for contract roles in an engaging elementary and center school environment. As an SLPA, you will play a crucial role in supporting students' communication and language development, working on-site at one of several potential locations. This full-time assignment offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with educators and therapists, ensuring students receive the assistance they need to thrive.
Key Qualifications:
- Current FL DOH SLPA license required
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as an SLPA, with at least 6 months in a school-based setting
- Ability to begin as soon as onboarded and credentialed
- Flexibility to be placed at one of several elementary or center schools supporting traditional or severe populations
- Commitment to working on-site; remote or virtual options are not available
- Must complete fingerprinting and credentialing as needed; expedited for those already cleared through Florida school districts and AHCA Clearinghouse
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech therapy services to assigned caseload of elementary-aged students
- Collaborate closely with speech-language pathologists, teachers, and support staff
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and track student progress
- Adapt approaches to meet varying student needs, including those in center-based programs
- Maintain accurate records and documentation according to school and regulatory standards
