Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Saint Johns, FL
Step into a rewarding role as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant supporting students in a collaborative school environment. Beginning August 3, 2026, and continuing through May 28, 2027, you’ll provide in-person speech and language support to a diverse caseload at a local campus, working full-time (35 hours/week) with a dedicated team of professionals.
You’ll focus on delivering direct speech services, making a meaningful difference for students ranging from early elementary through middle school. This opportunity is ideal for experienced SLPAs seeking to further their school-based expertise in a structured and supportive setting.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant license issued by the Florida Department of Health
- Minimum of 2 years of SLPA experience, with at least 6 months in a school-based setting
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Passion for working with school-aged children in an educational setting
- Flexibility and adaptability within a dynamic school environment
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students according to individualized plans of care
- Collaborate with supervising SLPs, educators, and support staff to foster progress in students’ speech and communication goals
- Assist with caseload management, documentation, and progress monitoring
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians as needed
- Participate in school meetings related to student progress and IEPs
This is an on-site role (VOCO not available) with all necessary credentials and fingerprint clearances required prior to starting. Assignment to a single school site (TBC) allows you to build strong relationships within the school community while focusing your expertise.
