You will work full-time hours (35 hours per week, 7 hours daily), likely stationed at one campus. Students on your caseload will span various age groups, allowing you to use your expertise in a dynamic and supportive environment. Collaboration with supervising speech-language pathologists and educational staff will be at the heart of your daily routine—fostering both student progress and professional growth.
To qualify for this role, you’ll need:
- Active Florida Department of Health SLPA licensure
- Previous school-based experience or exposure to pediatric populations strongly preferred
- Availability to work on-site (position is not open to virtual/remote services)
- Willingness and ability to complete state-required fingerprinting and credentialing, including possible verification of previous prints through the AHCA Clearinghouse, and obtaining a JLA badge as required
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech therapy sessions to caseload students under the guidance of a supervising SLP
- Track student progress, maintain documentation, and report outcomes
- Collaborate with educational teams and families to support IEP goals
- Adapt session materials and strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Uphold ethical and confidentiality standards in all interactions
