Soliant Health Schools - SLPA Contract 1 day ago Apply

Step into a rewarding role supporting middle and high school students as a contract Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for the upcoming school year. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with a primarily single school site (with possible rotation to a second) in a welcoming, supportive environment. Your assignments will be thoughtfully matched to your location and experience, with a focus on reasonable caseloads and effective interventions.

You’ll deliver essential communication support services, collaborating with on-site staff and embracing technology—including AAC devices—to help students thrive academically and socially. Both full-time (37.5 hours/week) and part-time (approximately 30 hours/week) options are available, allowing you flexibility to suit your lifestyle.

Desired Experience & Skills:

  • Licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in Texas
  • Prior school-based SLPA experience—middle or high school strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with AAC devices and supportive communication technology
  • Capacity to effectively manage a caseload of 80–90 students
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a school setting
  • Flexibility and adaptability when floating between school sites, if needed
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Professionalism in all interactions with staff, students, and families

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement speech-language therapy services under the supervision of a certified SLP
  • Support students with communication goals using AAC and other relevant tools
  • Monitor and document student progress and maintain accurate records
  • Foster a positive, inclusive environment that supports all learners
  • Comply with credentialing, state fingerprinting, and background check requirements
  • Participate in school team meetings and contribute to IEP processes

Candidates with experience in the local district are encouraged to mention it. If you have ever experienced termination from a school district, transparency is helpful as it may affect the hiring process.

Take this step to make a meaningful impact in students’ lives as an SLPA, utilizing your skills and passion for helping secondary-aged youth succeed. Apply today and advance your career in a dynamic educational setting!
