Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Pendleton, IN
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-8 students across two local schools. As a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA), you'll play an essential role in empowering students to communicate confidently, working both in a K-4 building and a junior high to support diverse learners. Your week will be split evenly between two sites, collaborating with dedicated staff and serving a manageable caseload of approximately 25 students at each location.
Start working as soon as possible and make a meaningful contribution through the end of the school year. The schedule runs Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM, totaling 37.5 hours per week—giving you consistent hours along with the chance to positively impact young lives every day.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Indiana SLPA license required
- Experience supporting speech and language services in a school setting preferred
- Strong collaboration skills to work closely with supervising SLPs and school teams
- Comfortable managing a caseload of K-8 students
- Ability to adapt interventions across elementary and junior high populations
Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized speech-language interventions as directed by supervising SLP
- Record and report student progress with accuracy
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and SLPs to promote student success
- Travel between two school sites as scheduled
- Maintain compliance and confidentiality with all student documentation
