Desired Qualifications:
- Active Speech Language Pathologist Assistant license
- Bachelor’s degree in Speech, Language and Hearing or Communication Disorders
- Prior experience as a school-based SLPA, paraprofessional, or comparable role preferred
- Training or experience in language and/or articulation therapy preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Collaborative spirit and willingness to learn new techniques
- Positive, professional demeanor
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver and support individualized interventions under the supervision of an SLP
- Obtain case histories, complete observation checklists, score tests and assessments
- Assist with student assessment and progress monitoring
- Participate in IEP conferences, parent meetings, and other school-related functions
- Prepare thorough documentation and provide support to teachers, parents, and SLP team
- Help transport students to and from therapy areas as needed
