Desired Qualifications:

  • Active Speech Language Pathologist Assistant license
  • Bachelor’s degree in Speech, Language and Hearing or Communication Disorders
  • Prior experience as a school-based SLPA, paraprofessional, or comparable role preferred
  • Training or experience in language and/or articulation therapy preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Collaborative spirit and willingness to learn new techniques
  • Positive, professional demeanor

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and support individualized interventions under the supervision of an SLP
  • Obtain case histories, complete observation checklists, score tests and assessments
  • Assist with student assessment and progress monitoring
  • Participate in IEP conferences, parent meetings, and other school-related functions
  • Prepare thorough documentation and provide support to teachers, parents, and SLP team
  • Help transport students to and from therapy areas as needed
