You’ll collaborate closely with supervising Speech Language Pathologists and an interdisciplinary team, reaching students in several elementary and middle school campuses. A flexible schedule awaits, with the initial assignment ranging from 7.5 to 22.5 hours per week and the possibility for full-time hours (up to 37.5 per week) as supervision expands. This is an on-site only position, ensuring hands-on interaction and dedicated student support—remote options are not available.
What You’ll Bring:
- An active Florida Department of Health SLPA license
- Prior school-based or pediatric experience as an SLPA (highly preferred)
- Ability to travel between multiple nearby campuses as needed
- Strong organizational skills to manage a caseload of 50-55 students
- Adaptability and enthusiasm for working with diverse teams and students
- Up-to-date fingerprinting (through the AHCA Clearinghouse if applicable) and ability to complete JLA badge requirements
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support Speech Language Pathologists in delivering individualized and group therapy
- Implement treatment plans targeting communication and language goals for students
- Accurately document student progress and assist in ongoing assessments
- Communicate effectively with school staff and families
- Adjust to fluctuating caseloads and school assignments as needed
