School-Based Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Stanwood, WA

This contract opportunity, located near Stanwood, WA, offers the chance to work 2 days a week (with flexible day selection) supporting students’ communication and language development in a collaborative educational setting.
Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills, a genuine interest in pediatric and school-based speech therapy, and the ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
Qualifications:
- Valid and current SLPA licensure in the state of Washington
- Recent experience (or clinical internship) working with school-aged children preferred
- Knowledge of K-12 speech/language needs and therapy strategies
- Comfortable collaborating with supervising SLPs, educators, and families
- Ability to organize and manage varied caseloads
- Excellent documentation and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
- Implement speech and language therapy plans under the guidance of a supervising SLP
- Support students individually or in small groups to achieve communication goals
- Follow treatment protocols and collect data on student progress
- Assist with screenings, assessments, and preparation of instructional materials
- Document services provided and maintain accurate records as required by school and state guidelines
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with educational staff and parents
This position offers a competitive rate between $35 and $45 per hour, allowing you to grow your skills in a school environment while enjoying schedule flexibility.
