School Speech Language Pathologist Assistant | Manassas, Virginia

Step into a dynamic contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, working with schools in the Dale City, Dumfries, and Woodbridge areas. This role begins August 24th, 2026, and continues through June 11th, 2027. Play a key role in supporting students’ communication development in an engaging and collaborative educational environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Degree required in Communications, Speech, or Communication Disorders
- SLPA school experience is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of school-based therapy practices and interventions
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Adaptability to work with students across diverse backgrounds and abilities
- No SLPA licensure required in Virginia
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist Speech-Language Pathologists in delivering direct therapy to students
- Implement and support treatment plans within the classroom setting
- Record and monitor student progress, ensuring timely and accurate documentation
- Collaborate with educators and special education staff to promote student success
- Participate in team meetings to discuss student needs and progress
- Foster an encouraging environment where students feel supported in their speech and language goals
This contract position consists of 35 hours per week, with a consistent schedule of 7 hours per day during the academic year. You’ll have the chance to impact students’ lives throughout the school year, working closely with a passionate and experienced interdisciplinary team.
