Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Communications, Speech Language, or a related field
- Strong understanding of speech/language therapy techniques for school-aged students
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
- Enthusiasm for working with children in educational settings
- No state SLPA licensure required in Virginia
Responsibilities:
- Assist supervising Speech-Language Pathologists in administering therapy and following individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Support students’ speech and language development through engaging exercises and interventions
- Track student progress and maintain clear, accurate records
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate therapy techniques into daily routines
- Communicate effectively with families, sharing progress and answering questions as needed
