Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications or Speech-Language-related field required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

- Experience working with children in schools is preferred but not required
- The state of Virginia does not have a specific SLPA license—degree in Speech or Communication Disorders suffices
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect speech and language services to students under supervision
- Assist in the development and implementation of communication intervention strategies
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with school policies
- Participate in IEP meetings, collaborating with educators, parents, and service providers as needed
- Support generalization of skills within classroom and school settings
- Engage in professional development and stay current with speech-language best practices
