Travel Speech & Language Pathology Assistant in Madera, CA
This position offers a full-time, full school year opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) based in Madera, CA. The role is itinerant, serving multiple preschool sites in the mornings and conducting afternoon home visits. This position requires travel within the Madera area, including visits to 5-6 preschool sites and working with approximately 7 homebound preschool children.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing speech-language support across various preschool locations.
- Conducting evaluations and facilitating Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Performing home visits with flexible scheduling coordinated with families.
- Collaborating closely with a supervising Speech-Language Pathologist.
Preferred qualifications and experience:
- Previous experience working in school settings.
- Comfort with homebound services and flexibility in scheduling.
- Bilingual skills in Spanish are highly desirable.
- Ability to manage travel demands; mileage reimbursement is available for commute.
