Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred, especially with K-12th grade students
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Confidence in delivering therapy under the supervision of an SLP
- Comfort with maintaining accurate, timely documentation for student progress
- Ability to adapt approaches to meet the unique needs of each child
Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the onsite SLP to implement individualized therapy plans
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students across all grade levels
- Maintain and update clear records of therapy sessions and student progress
- Assist in the preparation of materials and activities for therapy
- Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and IEP processes as appropriate
- Maintain a professional, positive rapport with students, families, and staff
