Job Description

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant for a full-time contract position supporting students in Lapwai, Idaho. This opportunity provides the chance to work alongside a collaborative speech-language team while serving students across preschool, elementary, middle, and high school settings. The selected SLPA will support speech and language development for students across multiple campuses!

Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language support services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Assist with implementing individualized treatment plans designed to improve students’ communication skills.
  • Support students across K-12 grade levels, including preschool, elementary, middle, and high school populations.
  • Collect data and document student progress according to therapy goals and district requirements.
  • Collaborate with the supervising SLP, teachers, administrators, and families to support student success.
  • Provide services across assigned school locations, including Head Start and K-12 campuses.
  • Participate in team collaboration and follow established therapy procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Active Idaho Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license required.
  • Completion of an accredited SLPA program or requirements necessary for Idaho licensure.
  • School-based experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Licensing assistance available for qualified candidates.

Experience:

  • Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting preferred.
  • Experience supporting students with speech and language needs is beneficial.
  • New graduates meeting Idaho SLPA licensure requirements are encouraged to apply.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with SLPs, educators, and families.
  • Excellent organization and documentation abilities.
  • Compassionate and student-focused approach.
  • Ability to support students with diverse communication needs across grade levels.

Education:

  • Completion of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or equivalent Idaho SLPA requirements.

Work Hours:
Monday – Thursday: 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch)
Friday: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
33.5 hours per week

Contract Dates:
August 18, 2026 – June 4, 2027

Pre-Planning & Start Dates:
Pre-planning begins August 3, 2026
First day with students begins August 7, 2026

Caseload:
Approximately 92 students across K-12 grade levels, shared between two SLPAs and one Speech-Language Pathologist.
