Bring your SLPA skills to a vibrant school setting, providing direct and indirect services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. You’ll work five days a week, for a total of 35 hours, fostering communication skills that help children thrive academically and socially.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Texas SLPA credential/certification required
- Experience supporting pediatric caseloads in school or healthcare settings is preferred
- Solid understanding of speech and language development, especially in elementary-aged children
- Strong interpersonal skills for communication with students, staff, and families
- Ability to follow treatment plans and keep accurate data and progress notes
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide therapy to assigned elementary students according to IEP goals
- Assist with screenings, assessments, and the development of therapy materials
- Document student progress and collaborate with the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist
- Communicate effectively with teachers and families about student needs and progress
- Support and adapt to school routines and procedures for optimal service delivery
