School-Based Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Hayward, California

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Speech Communications, or related major, or an Associate’s degree from a recognized SLPA program
- Active SLPA license or certification
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, including the ability to support students and staff during challenging situations
- Willingness and ability to travel between school buildings as needed throughout the school day
- Commitment to adhering to student Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Experience working with children in educational settings preferred
Responsibilities:
- Deliver both direct and indirect speech and language services under SLP supervision, following IEP guidelines
- Implement evidence-based interventions and track student progress
- Maintain thorough documentation and timely communication with supervising SLPs and other school staff
- Support classroom activities and adapt communication strategies based on individual student needs
- Attend professional development, training sessions, and maintain required certifications
- Provide services exclusively onsite; virtual therapy is not available for this role
This contract position includes scheduled, guaranteed hours, support for licensure and credentialing, paid training, and comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans. You’ll receive weekly pay, eligibility for travel stipends and relocation support, CEU reimbursements, referral bonuses, and a matching 401(k) plan.
