School-Based Speech Therapist Assistant - Sunnyvale, California

A school-based Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available in Sunnyvale, CA to support elementary students during the 26/27 school year. This contract role offers a full-time schedule supporting students with extensive communication needs in a school setting, with a focus on data collection, progress monitoring, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) device experience.
Qualifications:
- Current SLPA certification in California with at least one year of experience
- Experience working within a school district environment
- Demonstrated skills supporting students with extensive support needs
- Proficiency in data collection and progress monitoring techniques
- Bilingual Spanish is preferred but not required
Responsibilities:
- Assist speech-language pathologists in delivering services to elementary students
- Implement individualized intervention plans and provide communication support
- Utilize AAC devices to enhance student communication when applicable
- Track and document student progress accurately through data collection
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and professionals to optimize student outcomes
Location and Schedule:
- Sunnyvale, California
- Full-time, 40 hours per week, 5 days a week
- Contract position for the 26/27 school year
- Caseload size to be determined
