Support speech and language development for elementary students as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in the Baltimore area, MD. This on-site contract position provides services across two schools within the Harford County School District, working with PreK through 5th-grade students.
Assigned Schools:
- Magnolia Elementary (3 days per week: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
- Prospect Mill Elementary (2 days per week: Monday, Wednesday)
Position Details:
- Contract Duration: February 16, 2026 – May 29, 2026, with potential extension into Extended School Year (ESY) services in July 2026 (4 weeks)
- Weekly Hours: 37.5
- Location: Parkville, MD and surrounding Baltimore area schools
- Work Setting: On-site
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in the assessment and treatment of students with speech and language needs
- Implement individualized therapy plans focusing on communication development for PreK-5th grade students
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with district policies
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student communication goals
Qualifications:
- Active Maryland Professional Licensure as an SLPA
- Ability to complete background check, fingerprinting, and employment history review per House Bill 486
- Experience working in school settings preferred
- Availability for pre-employment interviews during specified timeframes
