Travel Speech & Language Pathology Assistant in Fort Myers, FL
Support speech and language development in a dynamic educational environment located in Fort Myers, FL. This full-time role as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) involves working on-site across multiple school locations, supporting students from PreK through high school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of approximately 50-55 students requiring speech and language support.
- Provide therapy and assistance at various schools, including Veterans Park Academy for the Arts PreK-8, Harns Marsh Elementary, Mirror Lakes Elementary, Oak Hammock Middle, and Estero High School.
- Collaborate closely with educators and speech-language pathologists to implement treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation relevant to speech therapy services.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Florida Department of Health SLPA license.
- Experience working in school settings preferred.
- Ability to work a full-time schedule, up to 37.5 hours per week.
- Must complete fingerprinting and obtain a JLA badge through the AHCA Clearinghouse process, if not already cleared.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Commitment to supporting students’ speech and language progress with compassion and professionalism.
Location: This position is based in Fort Myers, FL, with travel among assigned schools required.
