The role is strictly on-site, offering direct engagement and collaboration with educators and students.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold an active Florida Department of Health SLPA license
- Experience working in schools or with pediatric populations preferred
- Comfortable managing a caseload of 50–55 students
- Able to travel between multiple school locations within Fort Myers, with assignments split between a K-8 school and a high school
- Must be able to fulfill credentialing requirements, including fingerprinting and obtaining a JLA badge (which can be transferred from other districts)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services as directed by supervising Speech Language Pathologists
- Support students in a variety of educational settings, delivering individualized and group interventions
- Document services, maintain student records, and collaborate on progress reports
- Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and families to optimize student outcomes
- Assist in developing therapy materials tailored to diverse age groups and needs
This position follows a consistent part-time schedule of two days per week through the end of the school year (ASAP – June 1, 2026), allowing for a balanced work-life blend while making a real impact.
