Key Qualifications:
- Degree in Communications or Speech Language is required
- Education focused on Speech or Communication Disorders
- No SLPA license needed in Virginia
- Experience working in school settings preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Responsibilities:
- Support Speech-Language Pathologists in implementing therapy plans for students
- Assist in conducting speech, language, and hearing screenings
- Provide direct therapy to individuals and small groups under supervision
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to integrate speech goals into classroom activities
- Collect data, document progress, and maintain accurate records for each student served
- Adapt therapy activities to meet the diverse needs of students
