Speech Language Pathologist Assistant in Falls Church, VA
Take on a fulfilling role as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant supporting K-12 students in a vibrant educational setting. This contract position, beginning August 24th, 2026, and continuing through June 12th, 2027, offers an opportunity to collaborate with experienced professionals and positively impact student communication skills.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid degree in Communications, Speech Language, or a related field
- Active or eligible SLPA license
- Previous experience supporting speech-language therapy in school environments preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, students, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in providing therapy to students in the K-12 population
- Implement treatment plans and support individualized goals under supervision
- Collect and document data on student progress, maintaining accurate records
- Prepare materials and resources for therapy sessions
- Participate in team meetings and contribute insights on student progress
- Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive environment for all students
This position follows a standard school schedule with 35 hours per week, 7 hours daily, providing a consistent routine and summers off. You'll work with a diverse group of students, helping them develop essential communication skills that will benefit their academic and personal growth.
