Essential Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program
- Valid licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLPA
- Previous experience in a school environment is highly valued
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is a plus, but not required
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with students from kindergarten through twelfth grade
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Assist in screening, assessing, and documenting progress for students on your caseload
- Collaborate with teachers, SLPs, families, and other support staff to develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs)
- Help foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for students
- Adapt materials and activities as needed to meet diverse student needs
