Essential Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program
  • Valid licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLPA
  • Previous experience in a school environment is highly valued
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is a plus, but not required
  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with students from kindergarten through twelfth grade

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Assist in screening, assessing, and documenting progress for students on your caseload
  • Collaborate with teachers, SLPs, families, and other support staff to develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Help foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for students
  • Adapt materials and activities as needed to meet diverse student needs
