Serving multiple school locations in the Dale City, Dumfries, and Woodbridge areas, you’ll play a vital role in helping students achieve their goals throughout the academic year.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Communications, Speech-Language or a closely related field is required
- No SLPA license is required for Virginia; candidates must have the educational background in speech or communication disorders
- Experience in a school setting or working with children/adolescents is preferred
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Comfortable collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed Speech Language Pathologists in delivering speech and language services to students according to individualized plans
- Support assessment, intervention, and documentation for a diverse student population
- Work directly with students both individually and in groups, reinforcing targeted strategies and activities
- Track and report student progress, adapting approaches as needed under the guidance of supervising clinicians
- Communicate effectively with staff, students, and families to ensure continuity of care
Assignment Details:
- Contract runs from August 24th, 2026 through June 11th, 2027
- Commitment of 35 hours per week, 7 hours per day during the school year
- Opportunities to work across several schools in Prince William County’s Dale City, Dumfries, and Woodbridge areas
