Bring your passion for helping students succeed as a School Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in Prince William County, Virginia! This contract opportunity places you in supportive educational settings throughout the Dale City, Dumfries, and Woodbridge areas, working on-site within schools dedicated to creating a positive, inclusive learning environment. The assignment starts August 24th, 2026, and continues through June 12th, 2027, providing 35 hours per week (7 hours per day) centered around the academic calendar.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences, Disorders, or related field required
- Expertise in providing direct and consultative speech therapy services within a school environment
- Recent experience supporting students with communication challenges preferred
- Familiarity with documentation, IEPs, and collaborative teamwork with educators and families
- Ability to travel to assigned schools within Prince William County (Dale City, Dumfries, Woodbridge)
- SLPA licensure is not required in Virginia for this school-based position
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language services to students under the supervision of licensed SLPs
- Support students individually and in small groups to meet established goals
- Maintain thorough and timely progress documentation aligned with district standards
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families to foster student engagement and progress
- Adapt therapy activities to diverse learning needs and styles
- Help coordinate schedules and materials for therapy sessions
