Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Associate’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or related field
- Valid SLPA license or eligibility in the state
- Previous experience working with children or in a school setting is beneficial
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow treatment plans and accurately document student progress
- Flexibility and a collaborative mindset
Primary Duties:
- Implement speech and language intervention under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Assist with screenings and evaluations as directed
- Provide direct therapy to students, addressing individualized education program (IEP) goals
- Prepare therapeutic materials and activities
- Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress and session data
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment through supportive interactions
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on best practices
- Communicate effectively with staff, students, and families as required
