An exciting opportunity awaits for a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) looking to make a genuine impact in a supportive educational setting. This contract role starts August 12, 2026, and continues through May 27, 2027, serving students across both a middle and high school. The position is split between two campuses, offering a dynamic and varied working environment where you’ll collaborate with a dedicated team and engage with students at different developmental stages.
Key Qualifications:
- Active state licensure as an SLPA
- Prior experience in a school-based setting is preferred
- Proficient in conversational sign language and able to assist students using these skills
- Comfortable working in both middle and high school environments
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities with children and adolescents
- Organized, adaptable, and proactive approach to caseload management
Your Role:
- Implement speech and language therapy programs under the guidance of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Support students’ communication goals through both individual and group sessions
- Utilize sign language skills to facilitate learning and engagement
- Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and assist in report preparation
- Work collaboratively with educators, therapists, and parents to nurture a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Flexibility to work a full-time schedule (35 hours/week) or part-time with a minimum commitment of three days per week
